The men and women who never returned to their homes
Those resting in the care of God –
They gave their lives for your country.

Now I speak to you, my friends
And I speak for the fallen of your country
Those left behind by the soldiers who laid down their lives
It is said that to wait is also to serve
To worry and to dream and to hope
They gave their prayers for your country.

When I speak to you, my friends
I speak for the fallen of our country
Those who felt the calling to protect
Those who followed their duty to their death.
We remember them, for their precious sacrifice
Our soldiers, who gave their lives for our country.
